About Little Beausoleil Candle Co.
Welcome to

Little Beausoleil Candle Co. is a local company started by a husband and wife team who dreamed of bringing a beautiful reminder of Georgian Bay cottage country to others in a socially and environmentally responsible way. These artisans create their candles in their home and cottage studios, using a delightful custom mix of phthalate-free fragrances with essential oils, eco-friendly North American soy wax, premium cotton wicks, reusable glass containers, and recyclable packaging.

They are committed to sustaining beautiful Georgian Bay and donate a portion of their sales to the Georgian Bay Land Trust. The couple named their company after their cottage island in Honey Harbour and drew inspiration for the names of the candles in their collection from their time in Georgian Bay. They are thrilled to share their beautiful candles with you and are sure that you’ll enjoy this thoughtfully crafted collection!

Georgian Bay Land Trust

Georgian Bay is beloved for its natural areas, environmental significance, and is home to 50 species at risk including the highest diversity of reptiles and amphibians in Canada, contains more islands than any other lake in the world, and is recognized by the United Nations for its unique and important ecology.

Four years ago, we fell in love with Georgian Bay and we continue to learn about the need to protect this area.

This is why at Little Beausoleil Candle Co., we donate a portion of our proceeds to the Georgian Bay Land Trust – a not-for-profit registered charity supported by people who love and want to protect the wilderness of Georgian Bay for current and future generations. Their goal is to preserve the land and waters of eastern Georgian Bay and the North Channel of Lake Huron. The GBLT protects 64 properties, totaling 7,558 acres, stretching from Port Severn to the North Channel. Each of these places represents something unique in the ecology of Georgian Bay. This area is home to the world’s largest freshwater archipelago, boasting more than 30,000 islands. A UNESCO designated World Biosphere Reserve, the region supports an incredible diversity of plant and wildlife and is core habitat for many endangered and at-risk species. Through preservation and stewardship, they promote appreciation and protection of this unique area for future generations.

We are proud to donate to GBLT and want to thank our retail partners and all of you who have purchased one of our candles. Together we are making a difference in helping the environment as well as supporting small businesses – two causes close to our hearts. Thank you!
